Material used by length, area or weight
A product uses material by measure rather than by piece: metres of cable, square metres of sheet, kilograms of powder.
Pattern Existing features combined; the result is exact.
How
- Make the material a raw material product (
isRawMaterial: true) and let the operation consume a formula quantity:"qty": "P.harness_length". The stock is then counted in that measure (fractions allowed). - Time the work per measure with a resolver:
"m": "P.harness_length"and"unit": "m"on the capability. - A conversion (metres to kilograms) is a formula you write:
"qty": "P.harness_length * 0.12"for 0.12 kg per metre.
Check
Harnesses are 3-9 m. Cutting takes 6 s per metre (36 s on average) and uses that many metres of cable; crimping takes 45 s. At a 120 s takt one cutter and one press make the shift's 240 harnesses.
